It's hard to enjoy Tex-mex foods without a Margarita. Here's a scratch recipe to enjoy during hot weather with even hotter dishes!
Nothing difficult about this, though plenty of great reward. The recipe as listed produces two small margaritas, one and a half medium, or one large depending on your glass size. This recipe is also easy to scale should you need to prepare a batch (or two!) prior to a social gathering.
Ingredients
Juice of 1/2 lime
1/4 cup Quick Simple Syrup
2 jiggers silver tequila
1 jigger triple sec
1 jigger Grand Marnier or Gran Gala, (though replace with Quick Simple Syrup for a Traditional Margarita)
1 jigger water
Directions
Fill a shaker with ice, then add the ingredients and shake for 20-30 seconds.
Pour into your glass of choice and enjoy!
